OMG! What a fabulous experience on the Green River in Utah. Honest Heart Journeys attracts the most wonderfully kind, aware, sassy, funny and adventurous women. Being on the river, the boats, the camping, the sharing circles, the offerings were all so deeply nourishing to me. Jen and Heather our facilitators were amazing, humble and kind and part of the adventure too. The flight up the canyon, the six days on the river, the nightly camping and the hotel stay before and after all made for a perfect combination of laughter and healing. It was not a journey without challenges, but that's what we learn to face, in sisterhood, collectively lifting each other up, supporting each other and the inner journey is as important as the outer. I would highly recommend an Honest Heart Journey to any woman seeking to get out of her usual environment, get a little risky, have some adventure and be incredibly well held while she goes for it!

This was a life changing trip. Jen and Terry planned a trip that really helped us learn about the people, the culture, and the landscape. The women I traveled with were incredible, and we shared amazing experiences together. I have such gratitude that I was able to be a part of this well planned trip by Honest Heart Journeys.
Kenya - Together We Are One
Rita, you were such a delight on this trip - making incredible friendships with your roommate and others, eagerly sharing insights, fulfilling a dream you and your husband shared before his passing, and giving generous time since the trip to help establish HHJ's ongoing initiative to support the Olesere school where our Maasai Saruni family's children attend. I'm eager for our next shared journey and more time with you within this sisterhood community that offers a new nurturing kind of companionship. You are a gem!

Exceptional experience that balanced complete Maasai cultural immersion with intimate interactions with the local communities, developing a lifelong sisterhood connection across the globe, and the thrilling adventure of daily safari game drives. This trip brought a deep awakening of the soul, a lifelong impact. I have never cried tears of joy, but this experience provoked them more than once! This was a 12 out of 10! There was excellent communication not only in pre-arrival preparation, but daily check ins that minimized any confusion. There were bonus itinerary additions that continued to exceed expectations. Great accommodations with personal health and security being a priority!

Your genuine desire to be part of ongoing support for the expanding Maasai community in the conservancy we all came to love has helped fuel a beautiful new initiative. This trip was an immersion into Vietnamese culture, including conversations and experiences with local people. We were so immersed, after being home for a week Vietnam is still in my dreams every night and in my thoughts at certain times during my day. Motorcycle rides with special cultural stops along the way through Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were incredible, informative and exhilarating. All our meals were fresh and delicious, maybe seven courses were too many, but I learned not to eat all of each course. Our hotels were very, very nice, comfortable beds, happy and helpful employees, and nice accommodations. I don't know any different than what we did in terms of places and people that we visited, but it all seems pretty perfect to me with the amount of time we had. We sure packed a lot into the trip! Tho, our tour guide was unbelievably wonderful. I loved how he shared his life experiences and to learn how they have impacted him and what his future holds. I think he's a notch above most, super great to have him. Marianna's work to pull this together was great. Jen was her usual wonderful self being the glue that holds everyone together and checks in on everyone willingly, kindly, naturally, inconspicuously and joyously. For me this trip was about moving forward, moving on - that's what seems prevalent and important for the people living there. We all need to move on too, that's an important topic, how do we let go of the past and see right now as the most important moment. With all the bus rides involved, that's enough time for contemplation, offerings and specific poem or idea sharing, at least it is for me. Millie's poems shared were perfect. I'm extremely grateful for this trip and the ease at which 16 women, plus Thor, navigated each day. I know there was a lot going on behind the scenes but to me to turned out just as it should have. Much appreciation and praise for all the good work done to make this trip a huge success. Thank you!

The trip exceeded expectation!! Connecting with locals, trying new foods, having EXCITING adventures on motorbikes and going in tunnels were just the tip of the iceberg. Each day literally brought a new adventure with a wonderful group of women I now call "friends". With love in our hearts, open lines of communication with people from our host country made me feel less like a tourist and more like a friend of the Vietnamese. Words are really inadequate to describe Vietnam. It must be experienced!
